Looking Back (Apostolic society's silence)

I was one of the people saw how the apostolic society grew from an online group. I saw its progress. I saw how Mother Church acknowledged our institution as an Apostolic society. The Society was guided accordingly by the hands of our holy Mother Mary, and our dearest Patroness, St. Therese of Lisieux. But "the Devil infiltrated even in the Church" so says Our Lady in her messages in Akita, Japan. My fellow Administrator, Mr. John Patrick Pineda deleted his Flickr account, thus giving me no opportunity to contact him and tell him about the Apostolic Society's progress. For many months, the apostolic Society grew in Silence through the efforts of a lay sister, Sister Norma Peñaranda, a good friend of mine. We were silent but we were growing. We gave our support to the Church and did our apostolate outside the confines of the internet (The Apostolic society helps street kids in our subdivision by giving them food, education and a god to believe in). But i think the Internet apostolate should come back. The Church in the net needs groups like the apostolic society.

With these in mind, I am glad to announce that the apostolic society will be back ONLINE! That's Right, the Apostolic society will be back in circulation. We are targeting to finish the Constitutions of the Apostolic society and also the recognition of the Apostolic Society to the Catholic Bishop's Conference of the Philippines.

We hope to serve the people of God under the banner of St. Therese and the mantle of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

General Rules for the Logo Making Contest

FORMAL RULES:
1. The image should be in JPEG format.
2. Any format will do.
3. The Image must be connected with the mission-vision of the online group:

MISSION:We are a group that aims to spread the devotion to the Little Flower, St. Therese of Lisieux, Aim for the triumph of the Immaculate heart and the reign of the Sacred Heart and Desire to glorify God our Father through the Internet.

VISION:We are a community of brothers in sisters in St. Therese, with Our Lady as our Mother, Jesus as our savior and God our Father as our sole provider.
4. Use of Photoshop is allowed.
5. We do not allow plagiarism. what form? the use of other's work as their own. the participants can use the work of another to build a main concept.
6. The board of Administrators will decide who will be the Top Ten and the members will vote who will be the sole winner.
7. The winner will receive a special prize from the Board of Administrators.
8. Artworks should have an explanation, if possible. It should show the motto of the Society, “Ad Jesum per Mariam”, or the secondary motto, “Ut In Omnibus Glorificetur Deus”

God Our Father, we praise You for Louis and Zélie Martin, a truly faithful husband and wife, who lived their Christian life in an exemplary way through their duties in life and practice of Gospel teaching. In bringing up a large family, in spite of trials, bereavements and suffering, they showed immense trust in You and obedience to Your will.

Lord deign to manifest Your will in their regard and grant me the favours I implore while praying that the father and mother of Saint Thérèse of the Child Jesus be presented as models of family life today.

Amen.

The Causes of Louis and Zélie Martin were drawn up between 1957 and 1960 in two separate processes whose findings were sent to Rome.

These two Causes will now be examined according to the method of the historical process and form one single Cause so that this husband and wife may be Beatified together, should the Church so decide.

The faithful are, therefore, invited to invoke Mr. & Mrs. Martin together for favours and miracles confided to their intercession.

All who receive requests through the intercession of Louis & Zélie Martin are asked to notify the Lisieux Carmel.

Miracle in Milan

On June 10th 2003, in his private chapel, the Cardinal Archbishop of Milan, Mgr. Dionigi Tettamanzi, surrounded by judges and secretaries, signed a solemn act: the official closure of the process recognizing the miraculous cure, through the intercession of the Venerable Louis and Zélie Martin, of Pietro Schillero, from Monza, born on the 25th May 2002. His family, five brothers and sisters, were there with about a hundred other people and among them were the doctors, witnesses of the process. I was there to represent the diocese of Lisieux.

Pietro was born with lungs in such a terrible condition that, medically speaking, he could not possibly survive. Put under respiratory assistance, nobody thought that one day he would be able to breathe normally. Father Sangalli, a Carmelite Father, suggested to Pietro’s parents that they make a novena to the Martin parents. The parish did likewise. On the 29th June, his Feast Day, Pietro was much better and left the clinic on the 26th July in perfect health.

This cure, humanly inexplicable, was recorded by numerous witnesses, seven of whom were doctors. On the 10th June the miraculous child of thirteen months was parading around the chapel, sometimes crawling under the Cardinal’s desk who was pronouncing the decree; a fairly rare show in this kind of court!
With this miracle, the Beatification of Louis and Zélie Martin will not be too long. It is ultimately up to Pope John Paul II to decide.

Beatification of Cardinal Newman, Martin Couple, "imminent", Vatican says

Vatican City, Jan 8, 2008 / 05:16 pm (CNA).- Cardinal Jose Saraiva Martins, Prefect of the Vatican's Congregation for the Cause of the Saints, has announced that the beatification of the great British convert and scholar, Cardinal John Henry Newman, is "imminent."

Cardinal Saraiva Martins also revealed the beatification, latter this year, of the parents of St, Therese of Lisieux, Louis Martin and Azelie Guérin. The heroic virtues of the parents of St. Therese, who is now one of the most popular saints in the Catholic Church and a Doctor of the Church, were proclaimed on March 26, 1994.

Cardinal Saraiva implied that the miracle needed to proclaim them Blessed has been approved by his congregation, and will be announced at the next Consistory.
